With Windows 11, Microsoft wants to improve the overall printer experience for all users.
The company has also changed the process for adding new devices such as scanners or printers.
Users can enhance the security of future print jobs by adding a PIN code to a specific job.
The new operating system comes with a standards-based driver for the Inbox printer class that relies on the Mopria print protocol.

We currently live in an era of change and great technological advancement, where everything we know about the technology we use is slowly evolving for the better.

Microsoft is also working on integrating all possible changes into its new operating system to dramatically improve the user experience across all services offered.

Printing will be more innovative and faster

The Redmond-based tech giant wants to improve the user experience in more ways than one. At the top of the list are common printing features combined with an updated Windows 11 user interface.

Adding a new printer or scanner should be much smoother and less time-consuming in the new operating system than in Windows 10.

Microsoft is also adding some green features to the already updated Universal Print driver.

This plan allows users to add a PIN to a print job so that the job will not print until the user enters the same PIN at the printer.

Therefore, the technology company stresses the importance of upgrading an existing printer with Universal Print compatible firmware, if available.

Further, Microsoft adds that this feature will also appear in the 21H2 version of Windows 10, which will be released later this year.

With the release of Windows 11, Microsoft will also provide support for the Print Support application.

Windows 11 comes with new printer drivers

It should be noted that the operating system comes with an Inbox printer class driver, created according to standards based on the Mopria printing protocol.

This makes printing easy and seamless, and eliminates the need to install additional software or custom drivers to connect to and print to Mopria-certified printers.

This universal printer driver for Windows 11 can also be enhanced by printer manufacturers and print management software solutions with additional custom features and workflows by publishing the PSA on the Microsoft Store.

Once PSA is installed on a Windows 11 device, it can run in the background to process print jobs for the appropriate printer and provide an advanced user interface for tasks such as printing. B. :
